IOWA CITY, IOWA (July 1, 2010) – Ready for your co-op close-up? This September, individuals over the age of 18 are invited to submit short, up-to-2-minute videos in the My Co-op Rocks Video Contest, a nationwide contest in which food co-op fans share all the reasons their co-op rocks. Submissions will be accepted online beginning Sept. 1 at www.MyCoopRocks.coop with $3,000 in prizes – including two new Apple iPads – to be awarded to the best videos in “People’s Choice” and “Judges’ Choice” categories.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – March 17, 2010 – This week, as Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) puts forth the proposed renewed Child Nutrition Reauthorization bill to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, National Cooperative Grocers Association (NCGA) along with other members of the National Organic Coalition (NOC) urges the Senate to renew the Women, Infants, Children Program (WIC) with language that insists upon the inclusion of organic foods in WIC approved food lists.
